Rhythm Section with Edd Fisher & Bradley Zero

The heatwave is showing no signs of slowing down (let’s hope I haven’t spoken too soon) and in lieu of this, we’re going to carry on the tropical discotheque vibes here at Rhythm Section.

The last dance with Thristian was OFF THE HOOK and we aim to continue the global feel-good vibes with our next guest, all the way from Melbourne, representing Wax o’ Paradiso – Edd Fisher.

A strong antipodean ally and the standard bearer for left of centre worldwide dancefloor goodness, Edd is one of the finest DJ’s I’ve had the pleasure of playing with. Mr. Fisher is a core member of the Melbourne community, a real hardworking DJ who’s supported everyone from Theo Parris to the village people! Counting the likes of Prequel, Harvey Sutherland, Andras Fox, Tornado Wallace, Hiatus Kaiyote, Fantastic Man and Andy Hart as his contemporaries, Edd is (another!) Melburnian who is sure to not let the side down.

This trip marks Edd’s second session at the pool hall, the first time was another midsummer get down, two years back with Joel Martin – this was ‘Pre AC’ and I remember it being so hot that Joel had to be carried out to avoid fainting.

We’ve come some way since then, in terms of temperature control, so get down early and secure your place by the fan – this is set to be a scorcher!

2 decks, a rotary mixer, 1 red neon light and a few crates of vinyl.

..as always, don’t be late to avoid that queue, be nice and no photos on the dancefloor please!
