Melbourne comes to Peckham, Andras Fox @ Rhythm Section!

I’ve been very excited about this one for a very long time.

Andras Fox is quite simply, the man. This debut London show will see him return to the city for the first time since graduating from the RBMA back in 2010.

A refined gentleman in every sense of the word, Mr. Fox, (real name Andy) is a musician, DJ, collector and producer of the highest regard.

As a producer, Andras’ work ranges from proto-electro jams through sample based hip hop right up to luscious, uplifting house music with a feeling all of it’s own.
His collaboration with fellow Melburnian Oscar Key Sung, ‘Embassy Café’ introduced audiences to a decidedly antipodean, sunny take on DIY R&B which brought joy to all who listened, including Dâm Funk who gave it the ‘ALL G’ seal of approval.

As a DJ and record collector, Andras focuses his efforts on Australian music past and present, placing himself firmly within the canon of experimental ozzie music from the post punk era onwards. Expect to hear Melbourne funk nestled up against the house sound of Adelaide and perhaps a sprinkling of new age ambience from New South Wales.

The last time I saw Andy DJ I literally stood there with a pen and paper taking notes. His sound is as unique as it is entrancing and it is a huge pleasure to welcome him to the pool hall to show us how they get down Down Under.
