Rhythm Section Presents….’THE GUNPOWDER PLOT’

Late night Local Action from a bunch of Peckham’s finest.

We will be taking over JFK’s, that irish pool club on Rye Lane, kitting it out with a hi-fi sound system, lights and smoke and going all night long.

▲ Kid Who (mindless boogie/pizzicio/fine art) http://soundcloud.com/kidwho
Kid who has been causing a storm in disco circles for the last couple of years, with a string of well received Eps, remixes and international slots. Time for Peckham to get lost in kid who’s cosmic disco!

▲ Ali Warm (Warm Music) http://www.warm-music.com/
No stranger to Peckham, local man and techno godfather Ali, will be making selections from his extensive collection. Ali runs Warm Music, probably the best music agency in the world. Artists he has nurtured and worked with include .Âme, Dixon, Horse Meat Disco, Mark E and Eddie C, so it’s safe to say he knows his stuff, and he does!

▲ Matt Pictures (Pictures Music) http://www.picturesmusic.co.uk/
Matt is on hand to represent Pictures music, Peckham’s very own independent electronic Label. Starting as a bedroom project between two friends, the label has gained momentum at a lightning pace, with a roster of artists that would be the envy of most major offshoots. Operational little over a year, they have seen massive success with releases from Koreless, which got picked up by Giles Peterson, Rudi Zygaldo – who has released albums with planet mu, and Lapalux – the essex prodigy who has recently been added to fying lotus’ brain feeder imprint.

▲ Ollie Hogan (Lucky PDF) http://www.luckypdf.com/
The original Peckham party starter, Ollie ‘lucky pdf’ Hogan has been involved with arts and music events all around the capital. From the original Bussey warehouse parties, the doomed exploration of Peckham Palais, right up to the recent successes at the Woodmill and FRIEZE art fair, Ollie will be coming from behind the scenes into the spotlight as we set things on fire at JFKs, house party style.

Ex Saudi Boys back on the scene with a surprisingly mature and well rehearsed outfit: The Fat White Family.Psycho country for all the family. sure to be a nice break from all that bang bang boom boom music!
